Allowance of 3s per day, which I', in common with other officers employed as I am, have hitherto been paid, is now to be consider- -ed as a part of the "full pay of my rank", in so far as the [ Colonial Allowance is concerned, the result being that I am to be not only mulcted for the future in that sum, but that I am to be fined £20.14%, for no fault of my own.

Under these circumstances, and taking into consid- -eration the fact that this fine comes just at the date upon which I have to pay my children's school fees, I beg to request that the Crown Agents may be instructed to postpone the repayment of the above mentioned sum of 20.14. until the Admiralty's
reconsideration of the matter is completed.
